C4D Against Bullying

tn Youth1tn Youth3

As much as we do for bullying awareness, it is sad that we still have to talk to people about bullying in our communities; at our workplaces, in our schools and in our lives. Cycling4Diversity recognizes that this is a topic that we need to address.

Many people don't realize that their actions or words can be hurtful and is considered bullying. More awareness needs to happen, and we need to stand up for our friends, family and classmates. Standing up can be as simple as saying "No." "Stop that right now, I am going for help". By not doing anything to help someone, can be just as bad as the bullying itself.

Next time you hear or see someone being hurt, or talked (gossiped) about, or pointed and laughed at, try to put yourself in their shoes... what would you want someone to do to help you in that situation? That is something to think about.

Bullying isn't as easy to get rid of, there are always going to be bullies. How you choose to deal with it, that is something you can control.

Be part of the solution. That's the message that Cycling4Diversity wants to bring to you.
